Production Support for STANDARD Missile (SM), CWE, Cultural Change, Tech Rep Support

WILLCOR personnel at BMPCOE have been supporting IWS3A since 1998. WILLCOR personnel provide cost effective support in the areas of production, risk management, systems engineering and integration, plus specialized technical experts as needed. Specific tasks include Systems Engineering Process Support, Manufacturing issues, PEMS, Parts Obsolescence Support, BPR/Management support to reorganization, SM-6 Risk Management/TRIMS support.

Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM)

Conducted failure analysis of RAM hybrids and recommended process improvements.

Close In Weapons System (CWIS)

Provide technical risk management services.

Vertical Launch System (VLS)

Modernize the VLS software by upgrading to an architecture based on open systems methods and processes and provide an approach to meeting this requirement; develop a plan to research, analyze, and prepare an approach for a major upgrade to the VLS operational system that will move it to an Open Architecture. WILLCOR personnel at BMP provided systems engineering support to ensure that the new multi-missile VLS missile canister modules meet requirements, are safe, and developed at the least possible cost. Also reviewed the launcher's new programmable power supply to ensure a smooth transition from the then current vendor to a new vendor. Began to support the VLS initiative to move its operational software to an Open Systems Architecture. This will greatly enhance the ability of the VLS to support emerging and changing weapons systems.
