Under the direction of the Joint Defense Manufacturing Technology Panel, WILLCOR assisted with the development of Manufacuting Readiness Level definitions that allow the AT&L Community to obtain an assessment of the relative maturity of programs, so that risks can be addressed and mitigated early.
Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRAs):
A Manufacturing Readiness Assessment is the process of comparing a program, system, or item's manufacturability at various stages of development against a well-defined set of criteria for a given phase of the Acquisition Cycle. Decision makers must weigh the MRA results (a measure of risk) at a given MRL to determine a program's progress toward satisfying the requirements for a reliable, repeatable, cost-effective product within schedule constraints.
WILLCOR has an expert staff that can provide an independent, third-party, on-site assessment to fit your needs. Our history of MRL development and implementation makes for an experienced team of individuals who can get your program pointed in the right direction.

MRL Assist Tool:
The MRL Assist tool contains a knowledgebase of questions appropriate to determine the relative maturity of a program from a manufacturing perspective. Based on a program's responses to the questions, the tool will assess the program's manufacturing readiness for that phase, and identify risks to proceeding to the next phase.
Features of MRL Assist:
- Self Managing
- Shared Access for Geographically Dispersed Teams
- Scalable and Tailorable for Individual Program Needs
- Reporting Features
- Open and Closed Groups
- Password Protected, 128 bit Encryption
